So basically, every week DC10 Group 3 will post videos, photos, and photos of what is really going on in the Pastry Kitchen during each week. I would like to thank the group members for their undivided cooperation ad teamwork and will post what we learned on the blog as fast as we can. So let's get started, shall we?! Allon-sy!!!!
First, we have photos of what happened in the pastry kitchen, we were given the tasks to prepare dough for the English muffins, chocolate cookies and the checkerboard cookies.
"We are all of one mind when we are in the kitchen... look at us focused in completing our tasks at hand..."
We have Jacqueline making use of the mixer...
We have Darshan who is kneading the dough...
Hadib is measuring the amount of ingredients needed to prepare the dough!!!
We have Chellry, Ryan and Pras kneading their dough respectively...
Though we were rushing to finish 3 recipes in 3 hours, we still managed to pull it off at least 2 recipes and that's saying something... :)
The Chocolate Chip Cookies... very fattening yet delicious...
The English Muffins... hmmmm Fantastic muffins that can be used for many things like Mini Sliders and you've eaten Breakfast at McDonald's right?! Exactly the same taste...
Now here's the videos of the what transpired during our class...
Introduction to Recipes & Ingredients Part 1 & 2
Shaping the English Muffins
Giving Vanilla Dough a Rectangle Shape
Shaping the Cookie Dough
Cutting the Vanilla Dough, Chocolate Dough & Assembling them
And last but not least, we have the video for what happens when the English Muffins had finished it's second fermentation!!! We Pan-Fry it, of course!!!
So, that's all for this week and if you're wondering about the final product of Checkerboard Cookies, don't worry... my colleagues and I will post them next week for you to enjoy, but for now it's time for me to sign off... Bye!!! :)
